Bevy of soap opera stars hit CSI: Miami

They must be happy with Eva La Rue on CSI: Miami. The All My Children alum seems to have paved the way for many new guest stars on the popular David Caruso led CBS drama who all have ties to soap operas.
We have told you about Rob Estes of the nighttime soap Melrose Place with an upcoming guest role as Natalia’s abusive ex-husband in the October 9th episode “If Looks Could Kill”. He isn’t the only one with soap opera ties who will be gracing the set of CSI: Miami. That same episode also stars Jay Kenneth Johnson (he played Philip on Days of Our Lives) as a male model and Kari Wuhrer (ex-Reese on General Hospital) as a modeling agency co-owner.
Then the October 23rd episode, Curse of the Coffin, also features a whole roster of soap stars on the guest cast list. They include Lauralee Bell (Cricket) of Young and the Restless fame (you may recall her mom and dad are the hit soap’s creators, but after years of playing for the family business, she is expanding into roles her well-connected family isn’t connected to.
Also in that episode, Matt Battaglia, who played J.L. King on Days of Our Lives (as well as on Queer as Folk), and Dondre Whitfield, another All My Children alum (he played Terence Fry).
Quite an impressive guest cast list that CSI: Miami is developing. I can’t wait to see how Rob Estes as Natalia’s husband plays into it.
